Appearance: Tall, this statuesque woman has a strong and odd beauty about her face, something almost Amazonian. Silver hair falls in long strands about her shoulders and down her back in a sheen of monochrome color that matches the unnatural pallor of her skin. Her eyes are green, vibrant and alive especially when discussing the natural reactions that the human body experiences when under the influence of Mako, and become even brighter still when using materia. She prefers wearing long skirts or slacks, flat and sensible shoes, modest shirts and labcoats, enjoying the professional look that allows for functionality at her job/obsession.
Personality: Driven to perfection in her love and curiosity of the sciences, Jenova has a shaky mental standing. Late nights, excessive coffee, exceedingly strong doses of some of her own made concoctions when test subjects dwindled unexpectedly, her behavior has become unpredictable and erratic. Everything is a means to an ends for her, and the end is more knowledge, and through that, more power. Stern, lacking patience, she rules her family with a manipulative, emotionally tangled strength, using the love of those around her against them in ways most may not see coming until far too late, too deep, to pull out of.
History: Once upon a time, Jenova worked in the dark dredges of Shinra’s labs, starting in the thankless land of interning and working her way up through the ranks as she labored in school. When reaching her final title as a Biochemical Engineer, she found that there were risks in a bureaucratic life, funding issues that stopped her from working to her full potential and seeking out the truth of Mako, its constructive properties, and the power it would have over the world (funny that blind eyes were turned on moral standings such as living test subjects, but money was what controlled the powers that be in the end). Working with another disgruntled employee to find loopholes in computer financial programs and paperwork to offer her department more grants to complete her research, especially when she was so close to her answers, she almost achieved her dream. At least, until she was caught and immediately discharged from the company and all her work confiscated and kept within the office she was forbidden to return to.
Jilted, angry, she continued what research she could at home, having backed up the important pieces in her own personal sanctuary in the basement. Using such, she soon became impregnated with science as the father, and gave birth to Sephiroth, and three other children that were soon to follow. During the pregnancy, she played with Mako, advanced the research, even went as far as to inject the concoction into her own veins, acts that made her more unstable as time and exposure went on.
Other: Jenova has a strong, high sense of mental and magic power due to the alterations she has made to her own physiology due to the Mako injections. The extent of that gift is one she attempts to keep quiet, especially considering when the dreaded and rare word “Meteor” starts to come into play.
